Notebook Gaming Coming Soon 2017! - Computer vendors do not want to run out of ideas to boost the sales of notebooks. They are known to try out new technologies in the middle of the notebook panel.
The technology is called oxide and low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) panels will be used in ultra High Definition (HD). LTPS panel predicted big role on the notebook market in the future. For LTPS panel is designed to produce high resolution, but power saving.
At first, the idea was sanctioned considering the display resolution of HD tend to consume high power so wasteful batteries. This is a dilemma for the computer industry.
"It is difficult to increase the capacity of the battery for notebook slim. So, notebook vendors are looking for ways to display HD Low battery consumption," said Senior Principal Analyst for Display Supply Chain at IHS Technology, Jason Hsu, as quoted by Cellular-News, Friday (29 / 4/2016).
One company that has adopted it is Apple's iMac and iPad Pro product. Samsung Display and LG Display did not want to invest ketinggal LTPS panel capacity.
Currently the new LTPS panel can be used for smartphones, but would appear to notebooks and tablets as well. Reportedly some panel manufacturers will introduce  with LTPS panel in 2017. Nevertheless, Hsu said, vendors will face another challenge in view of consumers still consider the price factor than the update feature or specification.

He explained that when the transition to the notebook computer used to happen, consumers are very mempertimbakan update specifications. However, this time no longer.

"Users mostly use the notebook for browsing needs and check email. Performance is no longer a major factor for consumers to replace old notebook," said Hsu.

That is, the feature updates the display is doubtful. The proof, sales of notebook display components in the world slumped 23 percent in the first quarter of 2016 according to IHS research.

The low profit HD notebook panels encourage producers to reduce the number of production and increase the production of panels full HD (FHD). "FHD panel is expected to grow rapidly in 2018 and became a trend in the PC market in the next three years," said Hsu.
